"Mo", is slang for moustache, and "November" come together each year for Movember.
The story goes that the idea for Movember started back in 2003 over a few beers in Melbourne, Australia. The Mo Bros' goal was to bring back the moustache and create some global awareness for the number one cancer affecting men - prostate cancer.

In 2004, there were 432 Mo Bros and they raised $55,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. The Movember moustache continues to grow year after year, and has expanded to Canada, the US, UK, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, South Africa, the Netherlands and Finland.
In 2009, there were over 250,000 worldwide Mo Bros and Mo Sistas members and the campaign has raised a whopping $47 million dollars!! Stacey and I are very proud to report that Canadians have been so awesome in supporting this cause that Canada had the second largest campaign last year raising $7.8 million dollars for Prostate Cancer. Woo hoo!!
In keeping up with the Movember community spirit, I will be attending my sister Jessica and her boyfriend Travis' "Hat and Moustache" Christmas Party this evening. It will be a grand event spent with all of my Mo Bros and Mo Sistas!!
