My friend Miyoshi and I headed to Oak & Fort's new Edmonton location for their Grand Opening fête last Saturday. The air of the event was tasteful and refined but not stuffy in the least bit. We had a blast! We were able to peruse the clothing and jewelry, and munch on desserts and apps. The wine and music was splendid (great job Jesse). Best of all, I got to visit with some of my fellow bloggers (we don't get to catch up as much as I'd like!) The racks were lined with minimalist, light and airy clothing. Clean lines and top quality fabrics. The price point is on par with stores like Club Monaco; and very reasonable when you take into account the high quality.

Buyer Beware of Oak+Fort Clothing Store. I bought an expensive item that is defective and "managing director" says no refunds. I wasn't expecting a refund, just a repair at their cost. To make matters worse, they still said no and became catty and dismissive. Where's the customer service? I guess once you make your purchase, they just don't care.
