Movements Dance Ensemble’s All White Affair fundraiser on Sunday July 17 was a huge success. The turnout was great, the performances and fashion shows were terrific and the weather was kind. Everyone looked sophisticated and gleaming in white. There really is something about white that makes people look polished and chic. At Con Boland Gardens, we enjoyed jazz music, Caribbean cuisine, performances, auctions and raffles, and of course (my favourite part), the fashion show!! Local designers Kelly Madden, Kelsey McIntyre, Natasha Lazarovic, Lisa Marie Sciroli, Jessica Halabi, Andrea De Ocampo and Pauline Anderson showcased lovely designs centered around the pureness of the colour white.

The fashion show showcased designs from casual wear, to cutting edge, avant garde bridal wear. Congratulations designers on a job WELL DONE!
Con Boland Gardens was the perfect location for this event. The airy nature of the guests’ wardobes fit nicely against the backdrop of greenery and flowers….flowers of every colour and description. It really was quite stunning.
The highlight of my evening of course…winning Best Dressed – Female. How shy was I to walk on the catwalk?! I don’t envy those models one bit teehee!
