West Edmonton Mall's Fashion's Night Out

Saturday May 28th was West Edmonton Mall's first ever Fashion's Night Out event, and let me tell you, WEM did a marvelous job of showcasing the quality, style and unique fashions available at the center.  The ambiance at L1 Lounge was refined, sophisticated and positive.  The venue was filled with smiling faces in polished dress, but most pleasing, was that everyone seemed to be in good spirits and just having a great time.

The evening featured numerous giveaways, refreshments, product samplings, swag bags, beauty stations and of course, a sneak peak at this summer's hottest styles!  Retailers such as The Bay, Bebe, Eccoci, Melanie Lyne, Mexx, Ricki's, Cleo, Tommy Hilfiger, Laura, Firoz and Tristan, captured the audience with outfits that can be found in-store now.  I personally admired and appreciated that trends for all age groups, sizes and budgets were showcased.

Our host for the night was Global Edmonton's own, Seanna Collins.  Seanna charmed and entertained the audience and looked fabulous in 2 lovely outfits from Melanie Lyne.

Check out some of these highlights from Fashion's Night Out!

I love white on white, and the cropped style of the these pants is so hot right now!  This outfit is available now at Ricki's.

I could totally see Row rockin this look from Tristan!

This woman emanated class and comfort as she came down the runway...so lovely!

This Diane Von Furstenberg pink maxi dress can be found at Firoz.  I think it would be virtually impossible to not look amazing in this.  The fabric is so light and breezy and the shade of pink is perfect, not quite salmon, not quite cotton candy...just perfect.

Our Pleasury homegirl Chelsea strutted her stuff on the runway in this colourful Bebe dress!  I love the one shoulder ruffle detail.  Art in motion!

It's so unfortunate that this pic turned out a little grainy because this is my favourite dress of the evening.  Needless to say, I will be making a "bee-line" to The Bay for this Edit by Jeanne Beker dress.

Goosebumps...cutesy feminine juxtaposed against a seemingly ominous forest canvas.  Well put together!

All the lucky ducks in the audience received these gift bags filled with beauty and skin care goodies.  Such a nice touch!

Thomas Sabo had a fab booth set up.  My camera was acting up so the pics don't do the display justice, but check out www.thomassabo.com to see the jewelry designs available.  They range from simple classic to fashion forward avant-garde.

Nine West also displayed purses and shoes of every description.  The vibrant colours were amazing!  Spring is officially here people!

There was even a Beauty Booth care of Murale where we could sample products and get makeup touch-ups!  I got a picture with Chevi from Murale!  He totally knows his stuff, his makeup was flawless!

The dapper DJs on the ones and twos spun wicked tunes all night.  Aw, they're like mini Mark Ronsons teehee!

Here I am with Senior Marketing Manager for West Edmonton Mall, and overall stellar woman, Anna Alfonso. Thank you for a wonderful evening Sis!  Every gal deserves to feel like Carrie Bradshaw once in awhile and no detail was overlooked.

We often get stuck in routine and pattern, and frequent the same stores.  I can't tell you how many times I've had to find an outfit for an event and hit the same 3 or 4 stores in the mall to find a dress.  Throughout the evening, I heard reactions like "I had no idea XYZ store carried such nice clothing," or "I hadn't heard of XYZ store, I'll have to check them out."  All proving that Fashion's Night Out went along way in promoting WEM retailers, and was a huge success!
